ABOUT ME
Hello,
My name is Rebeca Tomikawa.
With more than 10 years of experience as a Contracts, M&A, Corporate Lawyer, as well as other ancillary law, I decided to set up my own law firm.
What reason?That's simple. I was a team coordinator in the last 2 offices that I was part of, where I had several opportunities to participate in highly complex projects, with different business styles and clients - from the fashion market to the Oil & Gas market.
With all the contact I had with these different businesses, I noticed an important issue, still embryonic in Brazil, which is the difficulty in maintaining Compliance, avoiding unnecessary risks, which many timesentail monetary losses and sanctions.
From that reason, I started my preparation for an LL.M in Compliance, but internationally. With that decision, some opportunities arose and it was from there that I decided to start my own office, where I will be able to carry out my work with excellence and the values that I understand as basic, but rarely respected.

Goal: Build solid and lasting relationships with clients, always aiming for the best result, in a personalized way for each business.
Academic education: Graduated from Mackenzie Presbyterian University and post-graduated in Corporate Law from FGV - Getulio Vargas Foundation and in Contracts from PUC/SP - Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. Currently studying LL.M in Compliance at Université de Fribourg/Universität Freiburg (Switzerland).
Languages: Portuguese and English.

Although such planning is part of the corporate area, I understand that it is worth a topic just for them, given the great importance of such work, which can involve different areas of law, such as: contracts, family, tax, real estate, as well as others, in particular when the objective is succession.

Elaboration of contractual and corporate instruments, aiming at the incorporation, merger or spin-off of companies, as well as conducting legal auditing (due diligence), focusing on the assessment of the assets and liabilities of each company.
